How Long To See Weight Loss On Keto – If you are new here, I lost 50 pounds in 6 months. Here is the post where I write about everything I did to lose weight eating clean Keto that should answer
It didn’t happen overnight, but at the same time the weight seemed to melt away slowly and relatively quickly.
How Long To See Weight Loss On Keto
I want to emphasize that the scale is just a bonus in this health journey. The not-so-big wins have had a much bigger impact on my life: better sleep! more energy! better mood! my clothes fit better! stronger immune system! more confidence!
Low Carb Vs. Keto: Which Is Better?
I can’t promise you’ll get my exact results, but I share everything else I do, so it only makes sense to share my weight loss results too!
In the second month, October 2019, I lost another 13 kilos, bringing it to 30 kilos.
In the third month, November 2019, I lost another 8 kilos. And yes, I stayed on the keto cleanse through Thanksgiving! This brought my total weight loss to 38 pounds.
4th month, December 2019, I lost another 6 kilos. Stay on pure keto through all the Christmas gatherings and a week-long family vacation in a cabin in the snow. This brought my total weight loss to 44 pounds.
How Long Does It Take To Start Losing Weight On Keto?
5th month, January 2020, I have lost about 3 kilos. This brought my weight loss to 47 pounds.
In the month of February 6, 2020, I lost another 3 kilos. This brought my weight loss to 50 pounds in 6 months! 3 Month Ketogenic Diet Weight Loss Update – Before and After Photos, Results, and My 3 Month Low Carb High Fat Keto Diet Experience.
The last 3 months have flown by and (spoiler alert) I have LOVED every day of the keto diet and it has helped me lose weight and feel AMAZING.
Before I go into more detail in the 3rd month Ketogenic Diet weight loss update, here is a reminder of my experience so far:
Weight Loss Tips: How To Lose Weight By Following A Keto Diet, According To This Guy Who Lost 41 Kg
I have lost a total of 10.4kg / 22lbs in 3 months and although the weight loss has been slow this month with a loss of 2.5kg I am happy to be going in the right direction. Slowly but surely. I believe this way of eating is a marathon, not a sprint. (Well, for me at least it is.)
And it is important not to compare your ketogenic diet weight loss with others. We all put on at different rates, so it can be discouraging when you see and hear about low carb weight loss happening fast and the weight loss being HUGE.
I believe losing weight slowly gives your body time to recover. I feel like I’m losing weight in a healthy way and the most important thing is that it’s satisfying and sustainable in the long run.
I can’t tell you HOW MANY diets I’ve been on in the past where I lost weight quickly, went “off” the diet, and then put it all back on. (With interest!) I haven’t had that “I can’t wait to eat

Again” feeling because this way of eating feels normal to me. I wouldn’t want to go back to the way I was eating and feeling as terrible as I did.
It is another aspect of the diet. Besides the bulk, I have enjoyed numerous other health benefits that I attribute to this diet. Some of the health benefits are included – more energy than I can ever remember, my teeth feel healthier (and a recent visit to the dentist for a checkup wasn’t as painful as before) plus my periods are “healthier” – I need less pain meds get through the first few days and they are also lighter.
A big change this month is that I stopped counting calories/counting officially. I have received food and had similar breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks/desserts. (Check out my online low-carb cooking classes for meal inspiration.)
So I found it wasn’t necessary for me to log every bite I ate because I can easily estimate the carb value of a meal and aim for lower carb/higher fat/moderate protein.
Free Keto Diet Plan
I feel it is important for me to be comfortable with intuitive eating rather than relying on a tracker so that I can continue to lose and ultimately maintain this way of eating with ease.
As you can tell, I love this way of eating and see myself sticking to a Keto diet for the foreseeable future. So you can expect these monthly updates to continue for a while.

Hi! I’m Natalie! It’s such an honor to see you here! I am so rooting for you and your health journey!
I’m going to share everything about my weight loss journey with you, but it’s so important for you to know this before we begin:
Low Carb Faq (plus Free Diet Sheet)
MY WEIGHT DOES NOT DEFINE MY HAPPINESS! I am happy and loving and will be in every great Being that I have ever been.
My best, have the most energy and see the way I feel inside when I make healthy food choices. For me it’s pure keto.
Being naturally slim doesn’t come naturally to me. I need to make changes to what I eat to be a happy weight.
In September 2019 I decided to lose weight, feel better, have more energy and be the best version of myself.
What Is Keto?
For this first round of weight loss, I ate pure keto, intermittent fasting, and jogged 30 minutes a day. (All explained in more detail below!)
In April 2020 (just after reaching my ‘happy weight’) I was lucky enough to become pregnant with my third child (yes!), born in January 2021.
Pregnancy was NOT the time to stress about weight (especially in the 1st and 3rd trimester, ha!). I made mostly healthy choices, but also indulged a lot. Because sandwiches and ice cream are just so delicious and feel very necessary when you are pregnant, ha!
I gained 51 pounds during my pregnancy, all of which was 100% worth it for my sweet baby Luke.
How To Break The Weight Loss Plateau
9 weeks postpartum I started feeling the urge to get back on track with pure keto. Mainly to have more energy to keep up with my 3 boys.
I started my 2nd cycle of my clean keto journey on March 22, 2021. This time I am focusing only on eating clean keto. I don’t worry about intermittent fasting (too hungry while breastfeeding!), and unfortunately I haven’t found the time to squeeze in a dedicated workout (yet!). I’m breastfeeding too!
After sharing my weight loss results on Instagram, I received so many questions about everything I did to lose weight.
Short answer: You can start anytime! I am here to help you and make it as easy as possible for you to replicate my results.
Keto Diet Before And After Pictures That’ll Get You Motivated
Long answer: I have a post on the 10 steps to start eating clean and lose weight, which is a step-by-step guide on how to get started and stick with it!
Short answer: After completing a few cycles of Whole30, and becoming very comfortable in my food freedom, I learned what foods to avoid that didn’t sit well with my digestion (no sugar, grains, or dairy for me!) I switched to keto to take my weight loss to the next level. I eat a high fat, moderate protein, low carb diet that is mostly Whole30 friendly foods. I occasionally enjoy monk fruit, grass-fed dairy and alcohol.
Long answer: I wrote a post on The Clean Keto Foods I Eat where I go into more detail about all the foods I eat and have a printable PDF of each food I eat to make it easier for you to understand and replicate!
Short answer: The main focus of Whole30 is to teach you to have a healthy relationship with food, to embrace healthy foods, and to determine which foods make you feel good and which foods to avoid that make you feel bad. The program also wants you to be aware of all the ingredients in your food and avoid everything being processed.
How Much Weight Should You Expect To Lose On The Ketogenic Diet?
The main focus of Keto is eating a high-fat, moderate-protein, low-carb diet to get your body into ketosis, which is when your body starts burning fat for fuel instead of carbs/sugar.
Long answer: If you want
