I have been actively losing weight over the past 7 months, so far, 21.5 lbs and feeling great.

This isn’t the first time I’ve tried to lose weight over the years, but it’s been the most effective because I’ve been trying to lose weight in a different way.
Bigger Bodies May Need More Veges
My motivation is also different because my recent medical test revealed that I am diabetic and I am already battling high blood pressure.
I work long hours and spend at least 10 hours sitting behind a desk, so my lack of physical activity is related to my weight.
Usually, I’m in a rush to lose weight so I can look good for a special event or television appearance.
I was already on a television show and appeared weekly, so looking thin for television was not my motivation to lose weight.

My pattern is to lose 10-15 pounds in 3 months, meet my goal, and then start gaining the weight back within the same 3 month period.
I’m happy to report that by being patient and allowing gradual weight loss this time, I’ve been able to continue to lose weight beyond my normal threshold.
By slowly losing weight, I focused on changing the negative eating habits that got me into this situation in the first place, namely impulse eating.

Whole-grain toast, a hard-boiled egg and slices of fresh tomato and pepper make for a low-“point” protein-packed breakfast.
I chop up veggies for the family to eat for lunch and roast sugar snap peas in a big pan with kosher salt and pepper for the most “0-point” snack I’ll ever reach for!
The point is to pre-measure, pre-weigh, pre-cook and pre-package your meals for the week so you can have healthy “impulse” meals and snacks.
Taking the time to prepare your meals will pay big dividends as you begin to lose weight.
